I was driving in my friend’s truck early last week and I noticed a paper with the words “make adjustments, not excuses” scribbled in all capital letters. I could tell the paper had been around the block a few times and asked him what it is all about. We proceeded to have a conversation about how excuses serve absolutely no purpose at all.
In life, there are numerous reasons as to why things may not have turned out as planned; however, making excuses why the desired results were not obtained is fruitless and an inexcusable waste of time. Instead, adjustments must be made. A focus on fixing the problem must be at the forefront of the mind for nothing in the past can be can be changed.
Therefore, make adjustments. Not excuses.
Thank you Terry Jaimes for your insight and wisdom.
